WHAT MUST IT BE - ROD SHAPE OR BOX SHAPE?

With our battery carriers you can choose between stick-shaped devices (also called tube mods) and devices whose shape is reminiscent of a box (a.k.a. box mods).

The two device types each offer different advantages and disadvantages as well as different features. While tube mods usually only fit a single battery (which has to be charged externally), box mods often offer space for 2 or even 3 batteries (which can often be charged directly in the battery carrier via a USB port).

REGULATED AND UNREGULATED BATTERY CARRIERS

However, a difference is not only made with battery mods in terms of design, but also in terms of what is inside. There are unregulated battery mods (aka Mech Mods) and regulated / adjustable battery mods.

ADJUSTABLE BATTERY CARRIERS

With adjustable battery carriers, a chip is integrated into the device, which has a special protective function. The chip continuously monitors the state of charge as well as the discharge of the batteries and the current required by the vaporizer. In the event of irregularities during operation, the chip ensures that the device is switched off and thus protected from damage.

UNREGULATED BATTERY CARRIERS

Unregulated battery mods, on the other hand, do not have this protective function. In these devices, the batteries transfer the current directly to the winding, which means that the performance of the vaporizer depends on the voltage of the battery and the actual winding. Mech Mods also have no backup function for the batteries, for example to prevent deep discharge. Mech Mods are therefore more suitable for experienced vapers.
