Are you having problems with your e-cigarette?
Or are you curious which mistakes are often made by beginners when vaping?
Or do you want to know what tips we have for using the e-cigarette?
Then feel free to read on! There is a solution for almost every problem!
My e-cigarette does not work, what now?
Annoying and annoying! Why your e-cigarette is not working can be due to a number of components and causes. An important question is therefore; what does he not do?
My e-cigarette battery won't turn on
There are actually two things that can go wrong here before you could possibly conclude that the battery is simply defective and needs to be replaced.
Is the battery turned on?
It may sound like a stupid question, but often this is the problem!
Tip : Almost every battery works with a 5-click system. This means that you have to press the button 5 times in quick succession to activate the battery. And by really fast, we mean really fast. Once you have done that, a light will illuminate or flash on the battery.
Is your battery properly charged?
It is also possible that your battery is not properly charged, so that the battery does not want to turn on, because it has too little battery capacity. Are there any lights on when you try to charge the battery? Just to be sure, leave it on the charger for at least 2 hours and see if the battery works after that.
So in short:
- Check if your battery is on with the 5-click system
- Check if your battery is fully charged
There is no vapor coming out of my e-cigarette
This problem can actually be caused by two parts. The battery and the coil. Together we will ensure that vapor will come out of your e-cigarette again. For that we check:
- The battery
- The coil heads
Is your battery on and fully charged?
First, make sure the battery is turned on and fully charged. Does a light come on when you press the button or does nothing happen at all? To turn on a battery, press the button 5 times in quick succession. Once you have done that, a light will illuminate or flash on the battery.
Another coil can solve the problem!
Even though the battery is working well, are you still not getting any vapor from the e-cigarette? Then replace the coil in the clearomizer or the pod just to be sure. Even though it's new, you may have a bad coil or pod that doesn't get hot. This sometimes occurs with new coil heads or pods.
No vapor from your e-cigarette checklist:
- Check if your battery is on
- Check if your battery is fully charged
- Replace the coil (or pod) just to be safe
My e-cigarette crackles, how do I solve that?
What you hear is the liquid crackling. A little crackling is normal with an e-cigarette, but it should not be the case that (a lot of) e-liquid splashes up and crackles. You can solve this in several ways:
- Increasing the VG level
- Lift a little harder
- Adjust the voltage or wattage
- Open the (adjustable) air supply further
- Replace the coil
- Avoiding e-liquid with (too much) water
Increasing the VG level
An e-liquid consists of the basic raw materials PG and VG.
- PG has a very thin structure and stands for Propylene Glycol. It mainly provides the throat hit (the tickle in your throat)
- VG has a much more viscous structure and stands for Vegetal Glycerin. It mainly takes care of the amount of vapor
Too much PG may cause the splashing and crackling. If the liquid is heated, it can simmer, just like boiling water. It is also possible that the coil (the heating element) cannot handle the thin liquid well. VG is a lot more suitable in such cases, because it is just a bit more viscous. This will prevent it from splashing quickly.
You can therefore use the following as a guideline:
- Coil with an Ohm value of 1.0 or higher? 50% VG or less
- Coil with an Ohm value lower than 1.0? 50% VG or more
When crackling, adjust the voltage or wattage
If you're running too low a voltage or wattage, it means the liquid isn't evaporating properly. This can cause it to accumulate in the coil. This can cause a popping and crackling sound. It can also happen that liquid comes up with it.
Check the specifications of your coil
As a rule, the recommended voltage or wattage is stated on the coil itself or on the packaging of the coil. In any case, try it out.
Does your e-cigarette still seem to crackle? Then you can go a little higher in voltage or wattage in steps.
Open the (adjustable) air supply further
If you partially or completely close the air supply, this means that little or no air is passed through. That is not good, because without air, you actually pull the e-cigarette completely vacuum. This means that you simply suck up the e-liquid.
This will cause the e-cigarette to leak, splash and crackle. Therefore, make sure that the air supply is open wide enough.
Your coil needs to be replaced
Usually when a coil needs to be replaced, little vapor comes out or it gives off an unpleasant taste. However, it is also possible that when your e-cigarette crackles, the coil is not good. To be on the safe side, you could replace it once you've ruled out all other causes.
Avoid e-liquid with (too much) water
You can compare it a bit with water that you boil. It also sizzles and splashes. That way, too much water in an e-liquid works the same way. Fortunately, it does not happen very often that too much water is added to an e-liquid.
My e-cigarette is getting hot, is this bad?
No, usually not! However, if in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us.
It also depends a bit on what exactly is getting hot. Does the top get hot where the liquid enters? Then it can't hurt. The coil inside is heated and can be more than 200°C hot. It is therefore not surprising that everything around it also gets warm or hot. However, your battery is not supposed to get hot. Warm can't hurt, but really hot isn't.
My tips to prevent your battery from getting hot:
- Do not leave your battery or e-cigarette in the sun
- Don't get your battery wet
- Make sure the ventilation holes of the battery or box mod are not covered
- Do not overcharge the battery; remove the battery from or from your charger as soon as it is full
- Buy a new battery as soon as you notice that the battery life is no longer what it used to be (and you therefore have to charge it more and more). As a rule, you can assume that you can charge a battery about 300x
- Do not buy counterfeit products
My e-cigarette won't charge, is it broken?
Annoying that you don't want to charge your e-cigarette! It may just be that it needs to be replaced and that you have to buy a new one, but just to be sure, try these tips first:
My tips for an e-cigarette that doesn't charge:
- Try a different charger or cable just to be sure
- Clean the contacts of your battery and charger; you can do this with, for example, a cotton swab (with possibly a very small amount of alcohol on the cotton swab)
- You can very carefully flip up the positive terminal of your battery with a small flat screwdriver or tweezers. This has sometimes fallen down due to use, so that it no longer makes contact with your charger
My e-cigarette tastes burnt, how do I prevent this?
I think this problem happens to every vaper at some point. Maybe even more than once. Fortunately, this is usually pretty quick and easy to solve. The solutions could be:
- Setting the correct voltage or wattage
- Preventing a coil that is too dry
- Let your coil soak well
- Replace your coil
- Lift a little softer
Setting the correct voltage or wattage
As a rule, a coil that you use states which voltage or wattage is best for you to use. It is often not only on the coil, but also on the packaging. It is best to follow this advice and we even advise you to start as low as possible.
If that isn't satisfying enough, you can always increase the voltage or wattage in steps until you've found your 'sweet spot'.

Avoid a (too) dry coil
If a coil is (too) dry, it means: This also means that the cotton in the coil (the evaporation element) is dry. If you heat the coil, the cotton will burn slightly. This gives off a very bad taste.
Soak the coil well
It is therefore important that the coil is well soaked before firing the coil. We therefore generally adhere to; Do not use your e-cigarette for at least 10 minutes and keep it upright, when placing a new coil, or when refilling the clearomizer.
With large coils, it is also recommended to drip some drops of e-liquid into the coil itself, so that the coil can properly absorb the liquid inside.
Replace coil
Does the burnt taste not go away? Then it may be that the coil is burned too far unfortunately. Then we recommend to replace the coil in its entirety.
Don't vap too hard, just a little more gently
If you vape the e-cigarette for too much or too long, you can dry the coil (heating element). Then it is possible for cotton that is also dry to burn slightly. This gives an unpleasant burnt flavor. Can't get the burnt taste out? Then it may unfortunately be that the coil is burned too far. Then it is recommended to replace the coil.
My e-cigarette and clearomizer is leaking, what now?
Is your e-smoker's clearomizer leaking? How annoying! Fortunately, we can advise and help you to solve the problem.
Important to know; Do you get e-liquid in your mouth or does the clearomizer leak at the bottom?
I get e-cigarette liquid in my mouth!
That is not good and it is not the intention. E-liquid in your mouth can have several causes:
- condensation
- Voltage or wattage too low
- Lifting too hard
- Air supply is too closed
E-liquid in your mouth due to condensation
Fortunately, condensation is only a small amount of liquid that has remained in the mouthpiece or chimney of your clearomizer, for example. It is therefore advisable to occasionally rinse the mouthpiece and pat it dry.
E-liquid in your mouth due to too low a voltage or wattage
Your e-cigarette or clearomizer contains a coil. A coil is the part that converts the liquid into vapour. However, the coil must be hot enough for this part to evaporate the liquid. Isn't this the case? Then the e-liquid will come up pure when you take a hit and that will cause your clearomizer to leak.
Check the specifications of your coil
Therefore, check carefully which specifications your coil has. Which voltage or wattage is best to use is usually stated (very small) on the coil itself or on the packaging. Is it not there and can't find it? Then feel free to ask us for help!
E-liquid in your mouth by lifting too hard
This is a common problem, especially among beginners. Vaping is also a completely different sport than smoking. When smoking you take quite rough puffs, while with an e-cigarette it is advisable to take soft hits. The liquid must be given the opportunity to evaporate. So don't go slurping, sucking and lifting an e-cigarette like crazy, because then there is a very good chance that the liquid will come along pure.
Ready to vape the right way? My tips for using an e-cigarette:
- Press the button (if your e-cigarette has one) of the e-cigarette.
- Place your mouth on the mouthpiece of the e-cigarette.
- Take a calm and slow hit of no more than 4 seconds (and that's quite a long time, count it!).
- Are you ready? First remove your mouth and only then release the button.
E-liquid in your mouth due to an air supply that is too dense
Make sure that your air supply is partially or completely open. If you have it too close (or even completely closed), you can vacuum the e-cigarette or clearomizer. This will suck up the liquid purely and it will start to leak.
My clearomizer is leaking at the bottom!
So that's really annoying. Especially if you have your vape in your bag or pocket and your vape is leaking. But no worries; we have a solution for this too. It could be due to two things:
- The coil (the part that provides the evaporation) is not tightened properly
- The liquid
Leaking clearomizer by coil
If you buy a new clearomizer, it is useful to know that the coil it contains is often not fully tightened. This means that the liquid can get under the coil and the clearomizer at the bottom will leak. Don't have a new clearomizer? Then you can double check whether the coil and o-rings have been properly secured. In principle, hand-tightening is sufficient.
Leaking clearomizer through the liquid
A liquid consists of the basic raw materials PG and VG.
PG stands for Propylene Glycol and mainly provides the throat hit (the tickle in your throat)
VG stands for Vegetal Glycerin and mainly provides the amount of vapor
Good to know is that PG has a thinner structure. And VG just a bit thicker.
If you have a (slightly larger) coil that absorbs liquid more easily, it may be that an e-liquid with a lot of PG is not suitable for that coil. The liquid is then too thin and can flow through the coil, causing your clearomizer to leak at the bottom. You also often suffer from sputtering and splashing.
In brief; Make sure your coil is secure! And check the o-rings just to be sure.

How should I clean my e-cigarette?
There are actually two parts of an e-cigarette that you can clean: The battery and the clearomizer. A different approach applies to both, so read on.
How should I clean my battery?
The only thing you can actually clean on an e-cigarette battery is the contact point. Erosion sometimes occurs here, so that it makes poor contact with your clearomizer. You can clean this by means of a cotton swab (and possibly a little alcohol).
How should I clean my clearomizer?
As a rule, a clearomizer consists of many parts, which you can completely disassemble. For example, the glass can often be removed, rings, the bottom, the mouthpiece and more.
Soak parts in warm water
The clearomizer, especially the metal or glass parts, can be easily cleaned by rinsing it or soaking it in warm water or denatured alcohol (available at any drugstore). Also take care of the contact point of the clearomizer, as it often gets dirty. The same applies to the mouthpiece and the chimney (where the vapor passes through).
Cleaning coil
It is recommended to use only warm water for the coil. Please note; you will never get these perfectly clean anymore. Do you therefore want to clean it because it no longer functions properly? Then it's better to replace it in its entirety.
Let everything dry for at least 24 hours
Once you've done this, the most important step is: Dry! As a guideline, you can keep all parts and especially the coil to dry for at least 24 hours.
Clearomizer cleaning checklist:
- Disassemble your clearomizer as far as possible
- Clean the coil only with warm water or replace it completely
- Clean the metal and glass parts of the clearomizer with warm water or alcohol
- Let everything dry for at least 24 hours
- Then reassemble the clearomizer so that it is ready for use
How do I fill my e-cigarette?
First, check whether there is already a coil (the evaporation element) in it. Is this the case? Check whether it is properly secured (hand tight is sufficient). Isn't there? Then you will have to place one first.
You then fill the clearomizer (the top part/tank) with liquid. With some clearomizers this can be done through the bottom, with some through the top. Therefore, read the text per product carefully on our website, because there is also a short manual with it.
Be careful with the air supply
It is important that you absolutely NOT fill the middle tube with liquid, if it is visible, since this is usually the air passage, where you will be lifting later.
Do not overfill with e-liquid
Don't overfill the clearomizer either, because that can also lead to leaks. A nice guideline is keep 3/4th.
Soak the coil well
Ready to fill? Beautiful, but stop; you can't start right away! It is best to soak the coil with e-liquid for at least 10 minutes. Hold the e-cigarette upright so that the coil can fill up properly.
Filling your e-cigarette checklist:
- Place a coil or check the coil
- Fill your clearomizer via the top or bottom (check the manual or our website)
- DO NOT fill the clearomizer through the middle tube
- Fill the clearomizer up to 3/4th
- Then let the coil soak for at least 10 minutes before use
Can I fill the e-cigarette with water?
We can talk about it briefly: NO
Water becomes so hot when evaporating that it cannot be inhaled without burning your mouth. Another additional disadvantage of water is that there is virtually no flavor to add to what you will taste when it evaporates.
Only e-liquids are therefore suitable for use in an e-cigarette.
Do I have to cough when I vape the e-cigarette!?
It could be a matter of habit, or it could be a withdrawal or quitting symptom. However, we have some tips:
Do not vapor directly over your lungs
Vapor first from your mouth and then over your lungs. So don't go directly into your lungs, because a vapor cloud from an e-cigarette is a lot denser and more intense than that from cigarettes or cigar smoke (try to talk for fun when you have a vapor cloud hanging in your mouth).
Check the PG and VG ratio of your e-liquid
Also take a look at the composition of your e-liquid. Does this by chance consist mostly of PG?
The substance PG is a lot harder on your throat. PG is known for providing the throat hit. Perhaps VG is nicer, because it is a lot more pleasant for your throat and you therefore have to cough less.
